ARTM 240 Gallery Fundamentals (3)This course combines academic and practical applications of gallery studies. Students gain an increased understanding of exhibition venues from a local and national perspective, including: commercial, nonprofit, and museum galleries. Students also acquire basic practical skills for mounting exhibitions, as well as experience in research and presentation. The purpose of this course is for students to acquire a well-informed understanding of the professional expectations and functions of the gallery. Prerequisite(s): ARTH 102 or ARTH 104 or ARTH 285 or permission of instructor. Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
