CLAS 324 Ancient Mediterranean Economies (3)This course explores the economic systems of the ancient Mediterranean world. Students will learn theoretical models used to explain past economic transactions, useful for cross-cultural economic comparisons. Case studies drawn from the ancient Mediterranean will illustrate the approaches used to conceptualize the ancient economy and the types of evidence available.
