EVSS 640 Earth Systems Science (3) This course investigates the interactions among the atmosphere, ocean, ice, solid-Earth, and biological systems. Students study the evolution of solid Earth, the formation of the atmosphere and oceans, and the origin of life. Rate and scale of changes of the Earth’s environment are examined through an analysis of changing climates. Finally, the course examines human evolution and technological development to gain an understanding of human impacts on the global environment. Course Frequency: Spring
