SMFT 523 Earth Science for Teachers (4) This course will cover the fundamentals of earth science and its application to environmental issues. We will explore the history of Earth’s formation and the dynamic processes that continue to shape and alter the Earth’s surface. Discussion and hands-on activities will be geared toward the understanding of “how the Earth works,” Earth’s dynamic formation and metamorphosis and the interconnectedness of the solid Earth with the hydrosphere and atmosphere. Graduate credit only. Course Frequency: Occasional
