ARTM 240 Gallery Fundamentals (3)This course combines academic and practical applications of gallery studies. Students gain an increased understanding of exhibition venues from a local and national perspective including commercial, nonprofit, and museum galleries. Students also acquire basic practical skills for mounting exhibitions, as well as experience in research and presentation. The purpose of this course is for students to acquire a well-informed understanding of the professional expectations and functions of the gallery. Prerequisite(s): ARTH 102 or ARTH 104 or ARTH 285 or permission of instructor. Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
