BIOL 112 Evolution, Form, and Function of Organisms (3)

A foundation course for science majors providing an introduction to evolution and a study of the major groups of organisms with an emphasis on their structure, form, and function. Lectures three hours per week.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 .
Co-requisite(s): BIOL 112L .
Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
Note: BIOL 111 , BIOL 111L , 112, BIOL 112L  are prerequisites for all upper-division biology courses except for BIOL 204  and BIOL 209 , which have no prerequisites. Students who have completed BIOL 101 , BIOL 102 , BIOL 101L , BIOL 102L , and who wish to take upper-division biology courses, may do so only with permission of the department. Students may not receive credit for both BIOL 101 /BIOL 101L  and BIOL 111 /BIOL 111L , or for both BIOL 102 /BIOL 102L  and 112/BIOL 112L , or for both BIOL 111 /BIOL 111L  and 112/BIOL 112L  and Honors Biology. BIOL 211  and BIOL 211D  are prerequisites, and BIOL 305  is a co- or prerequisite for all 300-, 400-, and 500-level courses.
