ARTM 420 Policy in the Arts (3)This course is an exploration of the role of federal, state, and local government and the private sector in arts and public policy development. Policy issues include arts education, arts advocacy, freedom of artistic expression, tax policy, cultural equity, and the applications of policy decisions on organizational missions, strategic planning, ethics, boards of directors and organizational management. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing, ARTM 310 with a grade of C- or better, BLAW 205 or ARTM 390 Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
