ECON 304 Labor Economics (3)This course examines the workings and outcomes of the market for labor. It is primarily concerned with the behavior of employers and employees in response to the general incentives of wages, prices, profits, and non-pecuniary aspects of the employment relationship. Topics include the supply and demand for labor, investments in human capital, unions, and collective bargaining, and governmental policies affecting labor. Prerequisite(s): ECON 200 , ECON 201 , MATH 104 or MATH 250 , MATH 105 or MATH 120 ; or permission of the instructor. DSCI 232 is recommended. Course Frequency: Occasional
