HIST 247 Empire, Nation, Class in Eastern Europe (3)A survey of the history of Eastern Europe from late 18th century to the present. The course examines the evolution of national identities, political and social movements, and cultural trends as the region progressed from imperial (Habsburg, Romanov and Ottoman) dominion to independent statehood. Prerequisite(s): EITHER HIST 115 -HIST 116 OR any other combination of courses that satisfies the general education history requirement . Course Frequency: Spring
