ENGL 316 Writing and Literacy (3)A survey of writing theory and literacy theory, students learn how literacy is developed and practiced. With a focus on how literacy has been imagined differently across cultures and over time, students examine how literacy is shaped by issues of place, power, language, and technology. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 110 or equivalent Course Frequency: Occasional Note: Either ENGL 316 or ENGL 310 will be offered each spring semester so that students in the English, Teacher Education (Grades 9-12) Cognate may complete their requirements in a timely manner.
