LGST 306 Personal Injury Pleading and Practice (3)This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to further develop skills and knowledge learned in Torts by examining advanced principles and concepts in the Personal Injury practice. It will combine theory with practical applications to include drafting pleadings, formulating and responding to discovery requests and trial preparation. Specific areas of study include Slip/Trip and Fall, Joint and Several Liability, Contribution and Indemnification, Products Liability, Medical Malpractice, Wrongful Death/Survival actions, Federal and South Carolina Tort Claims Acts, Fraud and Unfair Trade Practice. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or permission of Dean of Professional Studies. Course Frequency: Fall
