CHEM 230 Introduction to Organic Chemistry (1)This course reviews and previews chemical topics essential for success in organic chemistry with an emphasis on problem solving. Topics may include Lewis structures and resonance, molecular geometry and hybridization, molecular representations, nomenclature, isomers, enantiomers and R/S notation, reaction mechanisms and curved arrow notation, and trends in polarity and acidity. Co-requisite(s) or Prerequisite(s): Chem 112 or Hons 190 Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
