ARCM 563 Data Management and Cloud-Based Technologies for Arts and Cultural Organizations (3) Arts and cultural leaders use technology every day to engage patrons, raise revenue, manage operations, secure data, market, and process ticket sales. Understanding cloud-based technologies ensures that these leaders are making cost-effective, productive, and secure technology-based decisions on behalf of their organizations. In this course, students will assess the potential value of new technologies as they become available; prioritize among the many choices available for a particular task or function in order to make the best technology choices for the organization; and apply technology to gather and analyze data to support decision-making processes. Students will have exposure to cloud-based technologies relevant to arts and nonprofit organizations, and learn from case studies and examples from the sector. In addition, students will analyze and integrate technology systems into an existing arts or nonprofit organization’s operations and strategy.
