BIOL 112 Evolution, Form, and Function of Organisms (3)A foundation course for science majors providing an introduction to evolution and a study of the major groups of organisms with an emphasis on their structure, form, and function. Lectures three hours per week. The Honors version of this course is HONS 152 . Students may not receive credit for both. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 and BIOL 111L Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): BIOL 112L Course Frequency: Fall and Spring Note: BIOL 111 , BIOL 111L , 112, BIOL 112L are prerequisites for most upper-division biology courses. Students who have completed BIOL 101 , BIOL 102 , BIOL 101L , BIOL 102L , and who wish to take upper-division biology courses without completing BIOL 111 , BIOL 112, BIOL 111L , BIOL 112L , may do so only with permission of the department.
