EXSC 438 Advanced Resistance Training and Conditioning (3)This course applies exercise science knowledge towards the development of an optimal resistance and conditioning program. The main emphasis will be on assessment and then the design of comprehensive goal-oriented training programs for athletic populations. Students will develop proficiency in performing, demonstrating, and critiquing specific resistance training and conditioning techniques. This course follows National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) recommendations and helps students prepare for the NSCA’s Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification exam. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 221 , BIOL 222 , EXSC 340 or permission of the instructor. Course Frequency: Spring
