ENGL 110 Introduction to Academic Writing (4)

English 110 is a course about writing: specifically, the process and analytical skills that help students write effectively in a variety of contexts. Students practice writing as a process that involves invention, critical thinking, drafting, revising, researching, synthesizing, and working with new media. They receive peer and instructor feedback through workshops and conferences. Throughout the course, students read college-level writing and practice rhetorical strategies for effective writing transferable to other contexts. The Honors version of this course is HONS 110 . Students may not receive credit for both.
Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
