POLI 321 Civil Liberties (3)This course is largely a study of basic individual liberties found in the American Constitution and interpreted by the U.S. Supreme Court. Typically, the rights and liberties discussed include the first amendment (freedom of speech, press and the religion clause) and the 14th amendment (equal protection of the laws - including race, gender, age and privacy). Prerequisite(s): POLI 101 , declared POLI or PHIL major, or permission of the department. Course Frequency: Spring
