RELS 118 Modern History of American Religions (3)

This course surveys the history of selected religions in the Americas during the modern period, with attention to how these shape and are shaped by social, political, and economic factors in their global context. It provides a cross-cultural historical perspective on religious beliefs, practices, and institutions. Each course will focus on a particular theme selected by the professor (see the Department of Religious Studies course brochure for more details).
