HIST 117 Pre-Modern History/Global Race, Equity, and Inclusion (3)

This course will impart a knowledge of the history of selected human civilizations, societies, and cultures, with a special focus on issues pertaining to race, equity, and inclusion. It will convey an awareness of the historical experience through the study of political, social, cultural, and intellectual aspects of the pre-modern past and how these factors relate to race, equity, and inclusion. It will cover substantial historical developments and periods during the pre-modern period using a thematic approach.  The Honors version of this course is HONS 117 .  Students may not receive credit for both.
