SPAN 310 Introduction to Spanish for Health through Culture (3)

An introduction to the use of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultural considerations in the health and healthcare related contexts. A special focus will be given to the development of relevant Spanish language corpora (vocabulary sets) related to health and healthcare in various health related subfields (pediatrics, geriatrics, mental health, pharmacy, etc.), as well as on grammatical constructs of importance in the medical context (subjunctive, imperative, etc.).
Prerequisite(s): SPAN 275  or permission of instructor.
