HONS 312 Honors Molecular Biology (3)Provides an in-depth study of gene structure and gene regulation, important cellular macromolecules, and the techniques used in their analysis with a particular emphasis on their relevance to daily life. Special topics may include discussions of molecular immunology, mobile genetic elements, virology, and the biology of cancer. This course is the Honors version of BIOL 312 . Students may not receive credit for both. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 , BIOL 111L , BIOL 112 , BIOL 112L , BIOL 211 (or BIOL 213 ), and one year of chemistry. CHEM 232 can be substituted for BIOL 211 .
