LTAR 382 Arab Women Writers (3)Students read and discuss representative works by Arab women, written originally in Arabic. Works include fiction, autobiography, poetry, and treatises of social change. While the course focuses on the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, earlier contextual selections from the Qur’an, as well as early Islamic and pre-Islamic poetry will be explored.
