PHYS 270 Nanotechnology in Medicine (3)An introductory level interdisciplinary course covering nanotechnology and its use in medicine. Students will learn the basic physics behind smart nanobiomaterials, nanobiosensors, and DNA motifs. They will also learn nanotechnology in cancer treatment and drug delivery, medical imaging using quantum dots, nanofabrication, characterization tools used in nanotechnology, and nanotoxicology. Co-requisite(s) or Prerequisite(s): PHYS 102 or PHYS 112 or HONS 158 or permission of the instructor. Course Frequency: Occasional
