ARTM 362 Events Management I (3)This course explores the cultural origins and societal significance of events, providing an introduction to the management of special events and festivals. Topics include event feasibility, planning, communication strategies, event design and logistics, marketing and merchandising, and staffing and task analysis.
Students will gain a broad overview of the events industry and the professional opportunities it offers. The course covers the history, terminology, theoretical foundations, and planning/production cycles of events. It introduces students to the methods and techniques used in organizing, promoting, and delivering major events, with a focus on their role in tourism development.
