ENGL 220 Poetry Writing I (3)

An introductory workshop that develops students’ skills in reading and writing poetry. The course focuses on poetic techniques such as line, prosody, and figurative language, and as well as introducing students to contemporary poetry. Students will build their creative and critical abilities through the practice of peer critique.
