ENGL 111 Introduction to Academic Writing-Race, Equity, and Inclusion (4)

English 111, the REI version of English 110, is a course about writing: specifically, the process and analytical skills that help students write effectively in a variety of contexts. Students practice writing as a process that involves invention, critical thinking, drafting, revising, researching, synthesizing, and working with new media. They receive peer and instructor feedback through workshops and conferences. Throughout the course, students read college-level writing and practice rhetorical strategies for effective writing transferable to other contexts. Students will analyze texts and topics related to race, equity, and inclusion in the U.S. context.
Course Frequency: Fall and Spring
