GEOL 104 Environmental Geology - Human Perspectives (3)

The study of plate tectonics, volcanism, and surficial geological processes provides the foundation to examine geological hazards, environmental changes, and earth resources. The students’ understanding of the principles of geology will aid them in understanding practical solutions to environmental problems and resource depletion. Topics will include scientific and social perspectives on the unequal impacts on different populations globally. Lectures three hours per week.
