EDFS 302 Disability and Society (3)The history of disability is complex with specific implications for the development of public schooling and other societal structures and systems. However, disability history is often excluded from mainstream approaches to the teaching of history and often excluded from teacher preparation programs. This course is designed for those interested in working with individuals with disabilities in an inclusive fashion and focuses on improving approaches to inclusion through a more thorough approach to understanding disability through a historical lens.
