PSYC 198 Research Experience in Psychological Science (1-3)

This course provides students an introductory experience in conducting psychological research. Students will receive training in research ethics, learn how to consume primary literature, and be introducted to skills, methods, and data analytic techniques used by researchers in the field.
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 103  or FYSE 132* or FYER 159* and permission of a facutly member as supervisor and the department chair.  Formal written pllication stating the nature of the project must be submitted prior to registration.**

*These courses may be uesd when they cover psychology and are approved by the department chair.

**The department chair must approve all projects. This course is intended for freshmen and sophomore students with a GPA of at least 3.000; however, these guidelines may be waived with permission of a faculty member as supervisor and of the department chair.
