  • The School of Business strongly encourages students to complete the following courses by the end of their sophomore year: ACCT 203, ACCT 204; DSCI 232; ECON 200, ECON 201; MATH 104 or MATH 250 and MATH 116 or MATH 120. These courses are pre-requisites for many upper level junior and senior business and economics courses.
  • The business and accounting programs offered by the School of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
  • MATH 120 and MATH 250 are STRONGLY recommended for students pursuing a major in finance. For students wishing to take upper-level investment courses (i.e. FINC 401 and FINC 402), MATH 120 is required.
  • No more than 6 credit hours from any combination of FINC 399, FINC 420, FINC 344, FINC 499A, and FINC 499B will count toward the major.
  • Finance majors will be limited to no more than two of the following real estate related courses (six credits):  REAL 310, FINC 403 (formerly REAL 410), REAL 376, FINC 380 (formerly REAL 380). 
  • Students are not permitted to double major in Finance and Business Administration.
