The School of Business strongly encourages students to complete the following courses by the end of their sophomore year: ACCT 203, ACCT 204; DSCI 232; ECON 200, ECON 201; MATH 104 or MATH 250 and MATH 105 or MATH 120. These courses are pre-requisites for many upper level junior and senior business and economics courses.
The business and accounting programs offered by the School of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
MATH 120 and MATH 250 are STRONGLY recommended for students pursuing a major in finance. For students wishing to take upper-level investment courses (i.e. FINC 401 and FINC 402), MATH 120 is required.
Finance majors will be limited to no more than two of the following real estate related courses (six credits): REAL 310, FINC 403 (formerly REAL 410), REAL 376, FINC 380 (formerly REAL 380).
Students are not permitted to double major in Finance and Business Administration.
