Geology Minor

Minor Requirements

Credit Hours: 20

In addition to completing the requirements for this minor, students must also complete the minor requirements specified in the Academic Regulations  section of this catalog.

Required Courses

• GEOL 103 Environmental Geology (3)
• GEOL 103L Environmental Geology Laboratory (1)
• GEOL 105 Earth History (3)
• GEOL 105L Earth History Laboratory (1)

Elective Courses

Complete 12 additional credit hours in GEOL coursework with no more than 3 credit hours from ASTR 260  ,ASTR 260L  ,ASTR 460L  ,GEOL 260 , GEOL 260L , GEOL 460L   PHYS 260 , PHYS 260L , and PHYS 460L .

Notes:

• Additional geology courses selected to complement the student’s major. The student’s major advisor and their geology advisor must approve the courses.
• No more than 9 credit hours from GEOL 240  may be applied towards the program requirements.
• No more than 4 credit hours from GEOL 385  may be applied towards the program requirements.
• No more than 3 credit hours from GEOL 399  may be applied towards the program requirements.
