Theatre, B.A. to Performing Arts, Theatre Concentration, M.A.T. Accelerated Program

This program provides preparation for students to enter the labor market as certified K-12 Theatre teachers upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts AND the MAT in the Performing Arts. Up to 12 credit hours of graduate-level coursework taken as an undergraduate can be counted towards both degrees. The increased likelihood of employment and the pay increase that comes with obtaining an MAT degree makes the investment worthwhile and allows the student to earn two degrees very efficiently.

Applications for admission to the program should be made by the end of the third (junior) year of study. Applicants must submit a letter of intent stating your reasons for applying to the program, areas of interest, and career objectives and complete an interview with the MAT in the Performing Arts Program Director. Admission to the program requires a minimum 3.200 overall GPA and a minimum of 90 hours of undergraduate credit earned.
