Minor Requirements

Credit Hours: 18+

In addition to completing the requirements for this minor, students must also complete the minor requirements specified in the Academic Regulations section of this catalog.

Required course:

INTL 100 Introduction to International Studies (3)

Note:

Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 173 in lieu of INTL 100 .

Complete one course from each of the following two categories:

Category I: 100-Level Area Thinking Course

Category II: 100-Level Global Thinking Course

Note:

Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 118 in lieu of HIST 118 .
Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 127 in lieu of HIST 116 .
Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 166 in lieu of POLI 103 .

Global Thinking Electives (9 credit hours)

Complete at least one course from each of the 200-level and the 300+ level Electives lists below.

Note:

Other Departmental and Program topics, special topics, selected topics, research seminars, tutorials, independent study, and bachelor’s essay courses will also be counted when their content is appropriate as determined by the Director of the International Studies Program.
