Certificate Requirements
Credit Hours: 15
Required Course (3 credit hours)
300-Level Credit Requirement
Students must complete a minimum of 3 credit hours at the 300-level or above in the Global Leadership Certificate.
Global Studies (3 credit hours)
Note:
Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 173 in lieu of INTL 100 .
Civic Discourses (3 credit hours)
Complete 3 credit hours from any 300-level or above foreign language course or from the following options:

Capstone Requirement
A pre-approved credit-bearing Independent Study, Bachelor’s Essay, service learning course or internship course related to global leadership or a study abroad experience of three or more credits, in most cases, to be completed within degree-seeking students’ major(s) and minor(s) or in programs contributing to the curriculum of the Global Leadership Certificate. Students must develop a proposal to be approved by the Director of the Global Leadership Certificate program prior to commencement of the project. This is typically a 3-credit hour course but may vary depending on the student’s major course of study and on the type of experience.
