Required Courses
Note:
*PPLW 400 is required for students pursuing the Politics, Philosophy and Law Concentration.
Select a minimum of 3 credit hours in the Value Theory subfield:

Select an additional 18 credit hours in philosophy
12 of which must be taken in courses at or above the 200-level, and at least 9 of these hours must be at or above the 300-level.***
Politics, Philosophy, and Law Concentration (18 credit hours)
A concentration in Politics, Philosophy, and Law allows focused attention on theoretical issues related to the law. The concentration is jointly administered by the departments of Philosophy and Political Science.

*This course will substitute for PHIL 450 or POLI 405 as a major requirement.

Additional courses on suitable topics may be approved for credit by the director. Since POLI 320 or POLI 321 is required, PHIL majors will take at least one course in POLI. POLI majors must also take at least one course in PHIL.
