BIOL 450 Problems in Biology (1-4)Literature and laboratory investigations of specific problems in biology, the nature of the problem to be determined by the interest of each student after consultation with departmental faculty. Open to exceptional students with junior or senior standing who are interested in continuing toward a graduate degree in biological or related sciences and who have a minimum GPA of 3.000 in all science courses. Credit value is determined by the type of problem addressed. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the instructor and approval of the department chair, BIOL 111 , BIOL 111L , BIOL 112 , BIOL 112L , BIOL 211 (or BIOL 213 ), and BIOL 305 Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): MATH 250 or equivalent course in statistics. Course Frequency: Occasional Repeatable: May be repeated for credit when course content varies.
