BGST 400 Senior Synthesis Seminar (4)The Senior Synthesis Seminar serves as the culmination of the Bachelor of General Studies degree. It calls upon students to confront and analyze a fundamental and wide-ranging question-for instance, how should we take care of people who can’t take care of themselves? Should we have a living wage? Are human beings well-suited to democracy? Students use perspectives, knowledge, and skills learned in multiple disciplines to create a project that addresses one aspect of this broad question. Finally, students integrate this project and other work to create an electronic portfolio that showcases what they have learned in their program of study. Prerequisite(s): Permission of program director, senior rank, declared BGST students, and BGST 101 Course Frequency: Occasional Note: Topics will vary from section to section and semester to semester. Consult your BGS advisor for specifics.
