RELS 117 Premodern History of Religions (3)This course surveys the history of selected religions from the ancient world up to the premodern period, with attention to how these shape and are shaped by social, political, and intellectual factors in their global context. It provides a cross-cultural historical perspective on religious beliefs, practices, and institutions.
