BIOL 353 Hormones and Behavior (3)Hormones modulate most social behaviors (reproductive, parental, aggressive) expressed by animals. This course examines how hormones interact with the nervous system to produce these complex behaviors. Taking a comparative approach, the course draws examples of neuroendocrine function from throughout the animal kingdom including fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 , BIOL 112 , BIOL 211 (or BIOL 213 ) Prerequisite(s) or Corequisite(s): MATH 250 or equivalent course in statistics or permission of instructor.
