SOCY 382 Student Research Apprenticeship in Sociology (1-6)Qualified students supervised by faculty engage in collaborative research with faculty. Activities may include interviews, observations, and questionnaire construction; data collection, transcribing, coding and analysis; interpreting data, writing articles and presenting research at professional conferences. Prerequisite(s): GPA of 3.000 in sociology, a major or minor in sociology, and permission of the instructor. Other course prerequisites may vary depending on the nature of the placement. Course Frequency: Occasional Repeatable: May be repeated for credit when course content varies.
