ARTS 215 Photography I (3)This course will cover the basic technical and creative problems in black-and-white photography. By using a variety of photographic techniques, the intricacies of camera operation, basic composition, film processing, and darkroom printing are introduced. At the same time, students will learn to develop both personal imagery and a sound technical grasp of the medium. Students will expose negatives, process film, print in a traditional darkroom, and learn best practices for scanning negatives. A 35mm film camera with manual exposure settings is required for this class. Prerequisite(s): ARTS 119 Course Frequency: Fall and Spring Note: Some sections may be restricted to Studio Art majors only.
