SOST 200 Interpreting Southern Cultures (3)

This interdisciplinary course introduces students to major trends and transformations in the U.S. south and to multiple interpretations of the region’s distinctiveness and significance. After developing core knowledge of the region and ways it has been interpreted, students participate in southern studies by completing a research project of their own. The Honors version of this course is HONS 172 . Students may not receive credit for both.
Prerequisite(s): ENGL 110  (or its equivalent)
