Hospitality and Tourism Management, B.S.


Major Requirements


Credit Hours: 60+

In addition to completing the requirements for this major, students must also complete the degree requirements specified in the Academic Regulations  section of this catalog.

Courses within this major may also satisfy general education requirements. Please consult the Liberal Arts and Sciences General Education Requirements  for more information.

*Only one of these courses can be used as an upper-level elective.

Notes:


  • The School of Business strongly encourages students to complete the following courses by the end of their sophomore year: ACCT 203 , ACCT 204 ; DSCI 232 ; ECON 200 , ECON 201 ; MATH 104  or MATH 250  and MATH 105  or MATH 120 . These courses are pre-requisites for many upper level junior and senior business and economics courses.
  • The business and accounting programs offered by the School of Business is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
  • Students are not permitted to double major in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Business Administration.
  • No more than 3 credit hours from HTMT 244  may be applied towards the program requirements.
  • No more than 6 credit hours from HTMT 310  may be applied towards the program requirements.
  • No more than 12 credit hours from HTMT 399  may be applied towards the program requirements.

The following courses are excluded: MATH 104 , MATH 105 , MATH 120 , MATH 250
