German Studies Minor

The German studies minor provides in-depth study of German history, literature, culture, society, and business, including socio-political issues in reunited Germany and a look at the societies of contemporary Switzerland and Austria. Students may select courses taught in English or German, depending on their interests and abilities.

Minor Requirements


Credit Hours: 18

In addition to completing the requirements for this minor, students must also complete the minor requirements specified in the Academic Regulations  section of this catalog.

Note:


  • Any additional courses, including special topics courses not listed in the Undergraduate Catalog and which pertain to the field of German studies, may count towards the minor, with the approval of the director of German studies.
  • No more than 6 credit hours from GRMN 330  may be applied towards the program requirements.
  • No more than 3 credit hours from GRMN 496  may be applied towards the program requirements.
  • No more than 6 credit hours from GRMN 498  may be applied towards the program requirements.
  • No more than 9 credit hours from LTGR 250  may be applied towards the program requirements.
  • No more than 12 credit hours from LTGR 270  may be applied towards the program requirements.
