Business Language Minor in French

Minor Requirements

Credit Hours: 18+

In addition to completing the requirements for this minor, students must also complete the minor requirements specified in the Academic Regulations  section of this catalog.

Required Courses:

• FRCS 101 French Culture: Global Perspectives (3)

• OR

• FRCS 102 Francophone Cultures: Global Perspectives (3)

• FREN 313 French Composition in Cultural Contexts (3)
• FREN 314 Speaking French in Cultural Contexts (3)
• FREN 380 Marketing, Strategies & Communication in the French Workplace (3)
• FREN 381 Professional Business Practices in French (3)

Complete one course selected from the following:

• FREN 334 Interpreting Francophone Literature and Film (3)
• FREN 335 Interpreting French Literature and Film (3)
• FREN 336 Cultural Panorama of the Francophone World (3)
• FREN 337 Survey of French Culture and Civilization (3)
• FREN 363 Advanced French Culture (3)
• FREN 383 Summer Internship in a French Workplace (3)

• Students are not permitted to minor in Business Language Minor in French and major in French and Francophone Studies.
• No more than 6 credit hours from FREN 330  may be applied towards the program requirements.
