Theatre, B.A. to Performing Arts, Theatre Concentration, M.A.T. Accelerated Program

This program provides preparation for students to enter the labor market as certified K-12 Theatre teachers upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts AND the MAT in the Performing Arts. Up to 12 credit hours of graduate-level course work taken as an undergraduate can be counted towards both degrees. The increased likelihood of employment and the pay increase that comes with obtaining an MAT degree makes the investment worthwhile and allows the student to earn two degrees very efficiently.

Students intending to pursue this program need to meet with program director as early as possible in their Undergraduate degree program.  Applications for admission to the program should be made by the end of the third (junior) year of study. Students will work with the Program Director to complete the appropriate courses during their senior year.

Admission to the program requires a minimum 3.200 overall GPA and completing the following:
