Chemistry Minor

Minor Requirements

Credit Hours: 21+

In addition to completing the requirements for this minor, students must also complete the minor requirements specified in the Academic Regulations  section of this catalog.

Required Courses

Students must complete 8 credit hours from CHEM 111 /CHEM 111L , CHEM 112 /CHEM 112L  OR 5 credit hours from  HONS 190 /HONS 190L .

• CHEM 111 Principles of Chemistry I (3)
• CHEM 111L Principles of Chemistry I Laboratory (1)

• AND

• CHEM 112 Principles of Chemistry II (3)
• CHEM 112L Principles of Chemistry II Laboratory (1)

• OR

• HONS 190 Accelerated General Chemistry (4)
• HONS 190L Accelerated General Chemistry Lab (1)

• CHEM 220 Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry (3)
• CHEM 220L Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry Laboratory (2)

Notes:

• No more than 4 credit hours from CHEM 381  may be applied towards the program requirements.
• No more than 12 credit hours from CHEM 399  may be applied towards the program requirements.
• No more than 12 credit hours from CHEM 483  may be applied towards the program requirements.
• No more than 12 credit hours from CHEM 483L  may be applied towards the program requirements.
• No more than 2 credit hours from CHEM 490  may be applied towards the program requirements.
