EDEE 669 Behavior of the Young Child (3) Basic presentation of skills required to assess the needs, motivations and capacities of young children. Methods of observing, recording, and documenting behavior (individual and group), and the interpretation of the underlying dynamics are studied. Children’s art, language and dramatic play are examined as materials for understanding the meaning of behavior. Students examine widely used test materials in order to determine under what circumstances and by whom the test should be given, and the results are evaluated and used. Prerequisite(s): EDEE 650 , EDFS 654 , or permission of the instructor. Course Frequency: Occasional
