Program Requirements

• Credit Hours: 33
• A three-credit hour internship (PUBA 777 ). Internships are graded on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis.

Elective Courses

Students must complete an additional 12 credit hours (15 credit hours if the internship is waived).  Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field, MPA students are encouraged to think broadly about their elective courses.  This means that in addition to any elective course with a PUBA prefix, students may choose from the list of approved elective courses below, or with written permission of the MPA Director, students may apply to have no more than two elective courses outside the program, count toward their elective credits.

Transfer Credit Policy

All transfer credits (no more than twelve [12] hours) completed at other institutions must be approved by the director.
